Rainfall battered the windshield, but like some crepuscular creature, the Astra continued to charge through the elements. We hurtled down the M8, our attitudes cavalier. In the distance, high-rise buildings punctured the horizon. The city oozed a defiant, almost palpable energy. As we stalked its hazy streets, a fierce intensity consumed us. Our destination? Jamaica Street, Sub Club—where the f*ck else!?
